Freestyle Dance Academy was proud to perform at the Philadelphia Union vs Orlando City Breast Cancer Awareness soccer match, at Talen Energy Stadium. October is the official Breast Cancer Awareness month, and to help support the cause, the MLS holds its annual “Soccer Kicks Cancer” campaign. This year, Freestyle Dance Academy was invited to perform on the Toyota Plaza, right before kickoff, to help support the fight against cancer.
The Freestyle Dance Academy dancers worked hard throughout the Fall, to rehearse a special performance to pay tribute to breast cancer survivors. The performance featured “Fighter” by Christina Aguilera, along with “Survivor” by Destiny’s Child. Not only did the show feature the dancers performing a mixture of jazz & hip-hop choreography, but there was also an appearance by some of the male teachers of Freestyle Dance Academy, who put their freestyle skills on display for the audience.
Freestyle Dance Academy was thrilled to partner with the Philadelphia Union, and help to support such an important cause, like the fight against breast cancer. The dancers all wore pink throughout their performance attire, in order to show their support. The performers were able to share their breast cancer tribute piece twice before kickoff, as Union fans made their way through the gates and into the match.
