The FDA Company, also known as “The Company,” represented Freestyle Dance Academy before the Penn State University vs Princeton University Men’s Ice Hockey game, at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, PA. The Company of Freestyle Dance Academy, which has done events all over the Bucks County & Philadelphia regions this dance season (including a performance for the Philadelphia Union), treated the audience to a show filled with high octane hip-hop and jazz choreography, a few tricks, and a lot of fun.

The FDA Company, a group of Freestyle Dance Academy’s most passionate dancers, spend the year rehearsing and performing around the Bucks County region, including major performances in Philadelphia. The company possesses dancers with varying skill sets, including hip-hop, jazz, breaking (“breakdancing”), improv, tap, and more. The FDA Company takes pride on tailoring its performances to fit the event, which allows the dancers more unique experiences and new routines as well.

The FDA Company dancers opened the performance with a hip-hop routine to Missy Elliott, which they had perfected over the dance season. Afterwards, Freestyle Dance Academy director, Mr. Tony, made a quick guest appearance, before the FDA Company treated the crowd to a house/jazz piece to English MC, Tinie Tempah. After rolling, jumping and more, some of the Freestyle Dance Academy dancers had the opportunity to show off their improv/freestyle skills to Macklemore’s “Dance Off.” To ensure the viewers were left wanting more, the FDA Company ended the performance with choreography to Bruno Mar’s popular song “24k Magic,” which had the Penn State & Princeton fans clapping their hands & stomping their feet.

After another successful show, the dancers of Freestyle Dance Academy stayed to support both the Penn State & Princeton Ice Hockey teams, as they are always thankful to whomever invites the FDA Company to perform. The FDA Company also received a surprise, as one of their own Company members, who is currently nursing an injury, showed up to support the dancers, and enjoy the game!
