As dancers, we are asked to portray and illustrate emotions and stories to our audiences every time we perform. Certain stories, events or emotions leave such an impact that they must be addressed, regardless if they take place at Freestyle Dance Academy in Chalfont, Pennsylvania, or elsewhere…such as Boston, Massachusetts.
On April 15th 2013, each of the participants in the annual Boston Marathon SHOULD have been allowed to cross the finish line filled with the emotions of their choosing: elation, exhilaration, relief, pride, etc. Instead, all who were present that day when the bombs went off, were forced to feel one particular emotion: FEAR.
Our love, thoughts, and prayers go out to all of the participants of the 2013 Boston Marathon, their families & friends, the city of Boston, the first responders, all involved & effected, along with all of America, as everyone moves towards recovering from the horrific events that took place in Boston this week.
FDA students, please help support Boston (and all of those involved) in whatever way you can, even if it is just by sending your positive wishes and thoughts their way. If you know of a way that FDA can help, please e-mail or speak with Mr. Tony.
