Amber Allebach ~ Central Bucks East Class of 2019

Meet Amber…

Amber has been with FDA since 2016. She is an FDA Company captain, and has become known for her passionate performing, and vocal leadership. Open to many dance styles, Amber is also known for her ability to freestyle & improv on the dance floor, never shying away from the spotlight.

What are your plans after graduation?

To attend college (not sure where yet) and study Psychology & Criminal Justice as my major. I also may pursue a minor in Dance.

Do you have any plans that involve dance?

Minor in Dance, potentially. Possibly make a dance studio for kids who have disabilities, or are on the Autism scale. But, I will always keep dancing…

What is your best Freestyle Dance Academy memory?

I’ve had all great memories in FDA, but the best? Well that’s a hard one to choose…I got to say the best memory is when Tony asked me to be in the FDA Company. It seems very silly, but I hadn’t danced for years. At that moment, I was only dancing up to 5 months, self-taught at that. So, when he saw something in me that life hadn’t I…I was astounded and amazed. Amazed that someone had seen something in me that not many had seen.

What will you miss most about FDA?

Miss? Who said I was ever leaving? No, but in all honesty, what I will miss most would have to be the family aspect of FDA. No matter your background, race, religious beliefs, etc. you are always welcome to express yourself through dance at FDA.

How long have you been dancing with FDA?

3-4 years

Besides dance, what are some of your interests and hobbies?

I love writing, reading, baseball and Japanese culture.

Best High School Memory:

My favorite memory of high school would have to be the time I got to dance in the Philadelphia Youth Fest performance with the FDA Company. I also found myself loving the involvement with MiniThon at CB East. MiniThon happens to be an event that raises money for kids who suffer from cancer. You participate with the money you raised, and spend 8 hours of your time not sitting, but of course, dancing to music!

A Note from Amber

Freestyle Dance Academy isn’t only a place of dance, but a place that’s become my home. I wasn’t given a chance to ever call a place that before and I can’t speak to how grateful I am for this. Tony hasn’t only become a close friend, but also somewhat of a father figure. Colleen is a loving teacher who treats everyone with care. Ali has become a person of guidance through anxiety. Andrew, even though I don’t see him often, always has a kind smile and gives comedic relief. Jasmine I’ve grown to know and love how she teaches, let alone how she gives me helpful advice. Thank you all.

A Note from FDA:

Amber, there are not enough words to put on paper to describe our pride in watching you grow here at FDA. From the girl who was a bit unsure, and still discovering herself, to the assertive & kind woman you have grown into today, we know you are ready to face any challenges thrown into your path. We have watched you grow through ups and downs, and can’t wait to see what you accomplish, as you can do anything you set your mind to… You are passionate, focused, tenacious, and wise beyond your age. Your journey as a dancer has been the perfect metaphor for you, from the comforts of styles you knew, to branching out into new movement, and taking everything you learn to make yourself stronger and more dynamic. You leave every ounce of who you are on stage each time you perform. If you apply that to every task you choose to take on, you will be unstoppable. Freestyle Dance Academy will always be a home for you. We hope you will visit often. Go shine your light. ~ Love, your FDA Family
