The dancers of Freestyle Dance Academy took to the court for another performance for our friends, the Philadelphia 76ers, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The electricity was in the air that weekend, as the Sixers were hosting “Brotherly Love” night to celebrate Super Bowl LII, featuring the Philadelphia Eagles. The FDA dancers did not disappoint, as they got the night off to a rocking start, which prepared the crowd for a fun-filled game, and a lot of Super Bowl hype!

The dance studio performers started off the routine to a throwback, and tribute to the funk, “Get Up Off That Thang,” by James Brown. The opening was complete with Freestyle Dance Academy bboys (Dylan, Cooper & Andrew) rocking center court, and showing off some tricks for the audience. Next, the dancers took it back to the 90’s & 2000’s with routines to Kriss Kross’ “Jump” & N’SYNC’s “Bye, Bye, Bye.” After throwing in some Soulja Boy for the younger Sixers fans, the dancers finished strong with some intricate choreography, featuring Philadelphia’s Magoo & Timbaland’s “Drop,” and DJ Kool’s “Let Me Clear My Throat.”

Freestyle Dance Academy would like to thank all of the dancers & parents for their commitment, hard work, focus & energy throughout the rehearsal period and performance. The dance studio would also like to acknowledge all of the dance teachers of Freestyle Dance Academy who performed alongside the students, and gave their extra time to help prepare all of the kids for the show.
